Here were our recommendations:

• Repair or replace engine stringer
• Clean, degrease and paint bilges
• Remove and replace broken and unmatched planks
• Repair dutchman or foredeck
• Strip, stain and varnish topsides and decks
• Wood bottom. recaulk, fill screws, and repaint
• Realign motor
• Rewire boat
• New fuel lines, recondition tank
• Go through underwater gear

After the initial "discovery" phase, there were a few more issues to address:

At some point in the boat's history, the bottom was replaced and the inner ply was replace with plywood. At that time the outer planks were re-milled and re-hung making the outer planks much thinner than original. In addition, 80% of all plank ends have multiple fastener splits in them. Therefore, we recommended:

• At a minimum, replacing port and starboard garboards
• West System repairs to all other damaged wood ends for the present
